Mac OS X Lion v10.7 Developer Preview 11A419 (March 30, 2011)
Apple released a Developer Preview of Mac OS X 10.7 Lion, included are many features that were seen in the October
“Back to the Mac” event, in addition to several new ideas.
Highlighted features of Mac OS X 10.7 Lion Preview
Many Lion features are borrowed from iOS:
* Launchpad – iOS style app launching and folder management
* Full-screen apps
* Mission Control – Encompasses Dashboard & Expose as a super window manager
* Gestures & animations – extensive multi-touch support
* Auto-Save
* Versions – built-in version control of all documents, in an interface similar to Time Machine
* Resume – saves your Macs last state after reboot, all apps, sites, and documents included
* Mail 5 - very similar to Mail on iPad
* AirDrop – instant wireless document transfers
* Lion Server – now built into Mac OS X Lion, no longer a separate OS
The Developer Preview requires a 64-bit Core 2 Duo processor or newer, and you must currently be running 10.6.6 in
order to download the preview release.
Installation Instructions:
To install copy the program Install Mac OS X in the Programs folder and run. If you do not run the usual click on
the installer, do not dragging him into the appstore and there to have a login, simply right-click klatsat, click
"Show Package Contents" and go to Contents/SharedSupport/, run InstallESD.dmg that, and is installer.
New features of the operating system:
Launchpad - Control (folder, desktop) and run your application in style iOS
Full screen applications
Mission Control - unified by a Dashboard and Expose, and becomes a control center application windows, desks and so
on.
Gestures Animations - new multitouch gestures
Auto-Save - saving working condition even after you exit the system
Versions - Time Machine for documents - manage document versions in two mouse clicks
Resume - saves the state of your Mac after a restart, including all applications, websites and documents
Mail 5 - new e-mail client style iPad
AirDrop - Instant wireless transmission of documents
Lion Server - a server version is now built into Mac OS X Lion
